IVF Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary to re-open

This article in the Herald Scotland announces the re-opening of the GRI's IVF unit.

The IVF unit was closed down two years ago after a dramatic fall in success rates.  It is still unclear what caused the fall in the number of success but it is suggested that minute particles of debris from building works nearby could have caused the problem.

The HFEA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority) carries out regular inspections of IVF clinics and has now given the GRI a clean bill of health.
