Nutritional Therapy

Ensuring that the body is optimally nourished is vital for both partners. Nutrition for fertility and IVF

Nutritional Therapy aims to provide you with the best possible intake of all the nutrients to allow you to be as healthy as possible. When nutrients are deficient in the body for any reason, imbalances can occur which may manifest as poor egg or sperm quality, erratic periods and PMS.

During your first consultation a personal nutrition programme will be created to address your nutritional needs. The programme will take into account individual likes and dislikes and any specific dietary requirements. It will usually include recommendations for foods and drinks to take more or less of, ways to improve digestion and absorption of nutrients, food supplements to support your dietary changes, and ways to change any negative eating habits and patterns.

We might also recommend that both partners do a  Hair Mineral Analysis to measure levels of minerals in the hair and identify any toxic minerals that may be present.

We offer a number of other tests including the Female Hormone Profile to monitor the balance of hormones throughout your cycle. This provides a very clear picture of whether your oestrogen and progesterone levels are too high or too low. Based on the test results your diet and supplement programme will be altered accordingly.

Working with a Nutritional Therapist is an ongoing process and we have found that clients gain the most benefit with regular visits and reviews of their personal program. We recommend an initial consultation to get you started, followed by a review after 4 weeks, then regular reviews every 2 to 4 months.

Appointments are available for individuals and couples, and concessions are available on request.
